I am shocked and deeply dismayed by the tragedy in Connecticut. As we enter this holiday season, I will cling a little closer to my children and grandchildren and I’m certain you will also. What is striking to me is that we are protectors of the CASA children in our community, but we must also be part of bringing more civility and less violence to our country as well. May we hold these families that lost their children in our every thought and fight for solutions to senseless loss.
To share the words of National CASA Director Michael Piraino, “We share the tears of those affected and carry them with us into action for child safety.”
