CASA is currently serving one-fourth of the children in need
of “a voice in court.” Yet, there are over 800
more children in the Pikes Peak region who are in desperate
need of a CASA advocate. We cannot take on any more cases – no
matter how sad or necessary – unless we have additional
staff and trained volunteers. You can sponsor a child like Tiffany, whose photos you
see here. Tiffany was abused by her drug addicted mother
and her
boyfriend and Tiffany’s baby sister tragically died
from severe neglect. At the young age of six, Tiffany became
the
caretaker of her other siblings - feeding them, dressing
them, and tucking them into bed.
Tiffany said about her CASA advocate: “Theresa
invested in me, she stuck by me, and her care thawed the untrusting
Tiffany. She told me the truth, understood my fears,
and then
made them known to the others on my case. She calmed
all of my feelings of unsettledness. Theresa was my voice in
the courtroom.
I wanted to be adopted by my foster family and she made
this known. Because of Theresa’s time and energy, I
now live with a family I love deeply, who are helping me build
my life
into something beautiful.”
You can sponsor a child for less than $4 a day. That's
all it takes to change a life forever! Click
