To generate awareness and support in the fight against child abuse, CASA of the Pikes Peak Region hosted the Light of Hope North Fundraiser on October 23, 2013 at the Pinery in Black Forest.Kris & Olivai
CASA volunteers are an amazing force for good, and we need more. Currently hundreds of kids in our community have no one advocating for their rights. Support from the Light of Hope fundraiser will help us get closer to our goal of ensuring that every child in need has access to a trusted, compassionate advocate.
A portion of the proceeds from the day were donated to the Black Forest Fire Emergency Relief Fund through the Pikes Peak Community Foundation.
Court Appointed Special Advocate Judy Thompson helped ensure a safe, loving home for siblings Kristofer and Oliva.
These innocent children endured a lot of pain and hardship in their young lives. As their CASA, Judy Thompson stepped in to advocate for their best interest and ensure that they have a safe, loving home. Their story was featured at Light of Hope North event.
