 CASA Adds Three New Board Members in December

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region welcomed Kenton Pass, Stanley Kouba and William Shaner to the Board of Directors in December, 2007.  All are leaders in the community who are committed to helping CASA ensure safe, permanent homes to children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict.

Kenton Pass
President, Kenton Pass & Company

Kenton has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry and is the president of Kenton Pass & Company, a general contracting firm specializing in residential construction.

Kenton, a Colorado Springs resident for 14 years, is married with seven kids and seven grandchildren. As a former foster parent to more than 30 kids, he is intimately familiar with the need to ensure safe environments and permanent homes for children in need. “These are the most important components of my identity and the roles I treasure the most,” he said.

Kenton served on the Colorado Springs Historic Preservation Board, is a past chairman and co-chairman of the HBA Remodelers Council, and currently serves on the HBA Cares Board.

When time permits, Kenton enjoys outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, hiking and biking.

Stanley Kouba
President & CEO, Federal Fruit and Produce Company

Stanley grew up and attended college and graduate school in the Midwest. In 1987, he bought the majority share of Federal Fruit and Produce Company and moved to Colorado. In the last 20 years, the company has grown to be the largest distributor of produce in the western states.

Although Stanley is busy running the produce company, he makes time to be involved in the community.  He is a previous board member of the Pikes Peak Humane Society, holding positions of treasurer, vice president, and president.  He also served as vice president on the board for Care and Share.

William Shaner
Entegris, Inc.
Vice President & General Manager, Microenvironments

Bill works with a unit of Entegris that serves the microelectronics industry on a global basis.  His team manages over $200 million in sales and five factories with over 500 people. He’s is responsible for strategic planning, product/service development, manufacturing, and sales. He has 15 years of business management experience and excels in generating plans, executing objectives, and building multicultural teams.

Bill has been involved with many local nonprofits including, the Pikes Peak Humane Society, Aspen Challenge (ski school for the disabled), Lance Armstrong Foundation, Colorado Springs Cotillion, and Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Bill grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Colorado State University. He received his MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He is married and has 3-year-old twin daughters and two dogs.  He and his wife are avid cyclists, runners, skiers, and hikers.
