CASA Director Appointed to Judicial Nominating Commission 

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter appointed Trudy Strewler Hodges, executive director of CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, to the state's 4th Judicial District Nominating Commission.

Ms. Hodges, along with six other citizens residing in El Paso and Teller counties will serve on the commission.

The commission will meet when a vacancy occurs in the district judgeship to interview applicants and recommend individuals to the governor for consideration and appointment.

"I'm honored to join the commission and look forward to helping ensure a strong and competent judiciary that serves our community with integrity," said Hodges.

Ms. Hodges began her six year term on January 1, 2010.  Other members of the 4th Judicial District Nominating Commission include: Mary Lou Makepeace, Julie Wolfe, David Johnson, Mike Edmonds, Lynn Olney, and Mary Barrowman.
