CASA in Teller County

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region is a nonprofit organization that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court and in the community. The desired result is that children be placed in safe, loving homes where they can thrive.

The CASA Case Supervisor in Teller County is Terry Dickman, a long time Teller County resident. Terry will gladly offer visitors a tour of the historic Aspen Mine Center in Cripple Creek, which houses the CASA office as well as many other county agencies.

We are actively recruiting volunteers to speak up for abused and neglected children in Teller County. Currently there are over 50 children waiting for a CASA advocate in Teller County. To learn more about the role of a CASA volunteer, click here.

We would also welcome the opportunity to speak to community groups, workplaces, and places of worship in Teller County to talk about the need for Court Appointed Special Advocates for children in the community. Please call us soon to plan a presentation!
