Administration/Special Events Volunteers
CASA always appreciates help with office administrative duties,
including various mailings, data entry, and filing. You
can also help staff with exciting fundraising events and
committees,
such as the annual "Light of Hope" Breakfast.
These events are always in need of enthusiastic committee
members,
as well. Get to know the CASA staff and be a part of these
essential efforts that sustain the CASA programs.
No special skills are required. Administrative volunteers
can volunteer on a regular or "as needed" basis.
Just let us know when you are available.
Professional Services Volunteers
CASA greatly appreciates professional services donated to
help enhance its programs. Current volunteers donate legal,
graphic
design, printing, real estate, public relations, artistic,
and various other types of services, which have helped
to support CASA in many ways.
Professional Volunteers can work on a single project or on
an on-going basis.
If you are willing to donate some of your time and experience,
please call the Volunteer Director at 719-447-9898 ext. 1008
or send us an email.
2008 Light of Hope Volunteer Opportunities
Event “Check-In” Receptionist
On the day of the event CASA needs volunteers to assist with the “check-in” process of all attendees. This would require you to man the check-in desk and confirm names from the attendee lists provided and to handle any un-registered guests. Informing attendees of their table assignment, Table Captain Name, and other general information as required. Training will be provided the day prior to the event. Volunteers are required for breakfast and/or lunch. Times for Breakfast are 6:45am to approximately 8:45am; and for luncheon 11:45am to 1:45pm.
Event Greeter
Act as a “greeter” to incoming attendees and other guests on the day of the event. This may require you to stand in the hallway, ballroom, or other location to help direct traffic to the “Check-In” registration tables, dining tables, childcare room, or other, and to answer any questions that Light of Hope attendees/guests may have. Training will be provided the day prior to the event. Volunteers are required for breakfast and/or lunch. Times for Breakfast are 6:45am to approximately 8:45am; and for luncheon 11:45am to 1:45pm.
Event Set-up
Volunteers needed to help with the set-up of tables, chairs, centerpieces and programs the night before the event (time still pending) and the day of the event between breakfast and luncheon. For the day before the event time will be know approximately two weeks before the 25th and you would be notified at that time. For set-up between meals we would need volunteers there around 10:30-11:00am for approximately 1 hour.
Sponsor
The Light of Hope Event is free to attendees; therefore, we are in need of sponsorship dollars to offset the cost of the meals, etc. As a sponsor you will be entitled to various sponsorship marketing packages.
