Helping Children Thrive introduces research-based findings and strategies for CASA Volunteers to use and share with parents and caregivers wanting to help children reach their full potential\, whether the children are struggling or doing okay. The class will be presented using ZOOM video-teleconferencing in two interactive 90-minute sessions. Students will be asked to select one child to focus on during the class to facilitate discussion. \nThis class examines 1) Helping children become the best version of themselves\, 2) identifying and nurturing children’s interests\, 3) developmental assets that correlate with thriving\, 4) the need for children to experience unconditional love and examining how children express love and experience feeling loved\, and 5) things all kids need while growing up.
