DESCRIPTION:The Bench is celebrating it’s 1st anniversary downtown by hosting an event with CASA to help support our “Start With One” program. \nThere will be a silent auction and they will be collecting donations\, as well as donating a portion of their sales for that day. The Bench and Odyssey Gastropub will be providing food\, and we will be joined by Angela Rose\, CASA’s Executive Director\, who will be addressing the attendees. \nIt costs $1\,500 to provide one child with a year of this valuable advocacy. The Bench’s goal is to fund this program for at least three children. DESCRIPTION:There will be a CEID (see below) training here at CASA on April 25 from 1:00-3:00.  Presenters are Dr. Regina Lewis\, educator  and executive coach for The Center for Creative Leadership and Regina Walter\, retired judge of the 4th Judicial District and the Executive Director of Educating Children of Color.  There is room for 30 people so RSVP as soon as possible. \nCultural Excellence through Institutional Diligence (CEID) Level 1 training is to introduce and provide tools to identify and address unconscious bias. This workshop provides hands on application to approaching\, building\, and maintaining relationships of mutual respect through an “open-to-learning” process of courageous conversation and civil discourse.
