Join us on June 24\, 2024 at Elitch Gardens as we imagine the new heights we can reach together. \nThe event will take place in Pikes Peak Pavilion from 11 am-2 pm. This year’s celebration will include special recognition of our Reunification Hero honorees\, remarks from local leaders\, family activities and lunch. After that\, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy Elitch Gardens for free with their families. \nFamilies who have had child welfare involvement and been reunified are invited to attend this event\, as are professionals who work in the child welfare system in any role. Attendees may bring a limited number of guests. There will be no charge to attend and spots are limited. Reserve yours today! \nThere are a limited number of paid hotel rooms available for reunified families who will need to travel greater than 60 miles to attend this event. A portion of the proceeds from each participant’s registration fee this evening will be donated to CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates – of the Pikes Peak Region. CASA is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization serving El Paso County and Teller County that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of our most vulnerable citizens – victims of child abuse\, neglect\, and severe domestic conflict. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court and in the community. The desired result is that children are placed into safe\, loving homes where they can thrive. Thank you for helping us support our community by giving back to this wonderful organization. \nThe artwork shown “Celestial Moon”\, can be painted on a single canvas or across two as a set. Reservations close 1hr prior to class time. No experience is necessary\, an artist will guide you step-by-step. All art supplies and aprons included. \n* Arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in\, smocked\, and in your seat. (30 minutes prior if you upgraded your experience with candle making). Wine\, beer\, snacks and soft drinks are available at our Inspiration Bar. Please note that Colorado law prohibits BYOB. \n* DIY candle making: We use natural soy wax & have 24 fragrances to choose from.
