We’ll also look at Matthew Kelly’s writings on “becoming the best version of yourself” and Zimmy Zimberg’s “All Kids Need – A to Z.” \nThis class will provide insights and resources for anyone wanting to help children thrive\, regardless of age\, whether they are struggling or doing okay. Findings are presented with handouts that can be referred to and shared. \nBob has five years of experience with CASA of the Pikes Peak Region as a D&N court appointed special advocate (CASA) for children in out-of-home placement due to abuse or neglect\, and as a peer coordinator for other CASA volunteers. He and his wife were foster parents for a niece with juvenile diabetes through the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children. Bob is currently a team member with Fostering Hope. TBRI® is an attachment-based\, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs\, Connecting Principles for attachment needs\, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. The intervention is based on years of attachment\, sensory processing\, and neuroscience research. It is primarily delivered as the TBRI®️ Caregiver Package\, which is 24 hours of training in four parts (Overview\, Connecting\, Empowering\, Correcting). CASA of Larimer County will be offering each part regularly over the next year. \nThe 6-hour TBRI®️ Overview is required before taking the following principles. It provides the basis of attachment and research on which TBRI®️ builds. The Overview is six hours divided into four sessions over two weeks. Sessions will be on Mondays and Wednesdays 11:30am-1pm. Participants must attend the full six hours consecutively.
