Join us for an in-service (in the CASA training room) to learn exactly what questions and conversations must be had to determine when DHS removes children. Our guest presenter\, Dan Mills\, who has worked at DHS for 30+ years\, will go through the safety and risk assessment that the county uses and answer any questions we may have. Then\, converse with your fellow advocates about our own socioeconomic bias and recognize when our recommendations and opinions qualify as safety issues versus preferences.
