Teen Workers Needed for The Hanger

The Hanger will begin having teen volunteers again in September. If you have a teen in foster care who is interested in working at The Hanger, please pick up an application next time they are in to shop. Teens can work one Saturday per month from 11:45 am to 3pm, must have transportation to and from The Hanger at these times, and will receive a $15 gift card for their time.

Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Fridays at The Hanger at 418 S Weber St, in the back of the CASA building. Please email teen's name, if they are right- or left-handed, and what level they are to jillc@casappr.org. Beginners welcome. CASA has guitars available for teens to take home and practice.

Drivers Education

DHS is currently funding Drivers Ed for youth in foster care. Please contact your foster teen's caseworker to request funding.

College Prep

Do you have a 9th-12th grader on your case? Contact jillc@casappr.org to get free professional help preparing for college, community college, technical schools, etc. It isn’t too early to start preparing for their future or too late to apply to college for the fall!

Free Bikes:

Bikes Peak is a teen owned and operated project here in the Pikes Peak Region that collects bikes for kids and teens in foster care. Provide a little bit about yourself (age, height, favorite color) to be matched with a bike. You can apply here or email bikespeak02@gmail.com. Have a bike you aren't using? They take donations, too!

Senior Pictures:

Free senior pictures are available for teens in foster care who would like photos for their senior year/GED. Please contact Jill at jillc@casappr.org.
