Description: Colorado Institute for Sexual Health will be facilitating a training and discussion regarding LGBTQ+ in Care. Topics will be:
Intro to the difference between gender and sexuality
Responding to correction when we get things wrong / effectively challenging microaggressions
Gender-affirming care towards congruence (how some will choose to bring their social/medical experiences into alignment with their gender identity)
Rights and best practices for supporting gender-expansive youth involved in state systems
