The Children CASA Serves

El Paso County has received more reports of child abuse than any other county in Colorado for the past ten years in a row.

The children CASA serves are victims of physical, mental, emotional and/or sexual abuse and severe neglect.  Because there are not enough CASA Advocates to serve every child in need, the most severe cases are appointed to CASA. Our goal is to advocate for the best interest of these children in court and ensure they are placed in a safe, permanent home where they can thrive as quickly as possible.

“I could have been one of the kids in CASA.  My mother died when I was a baby in 1938.  My older brothers and sisters were teenagers, and they took care of me.  One day one of my sisters found a woman who would become my foster mother.  Without her, I would not be able to contribute to CASA today.”    — anonymous CASA Generations donor
