CASA hosts Middle Eastern and North African nonprofit leaders
CASA was thrilled to host a delegation of nonprofit leaders from Middle Eastern and North African countries on Feb. 7.
The group was part of the International Visitor Leadership Program with the U.S. Department of State and CASA was chosen as a host nonprofit by the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council.
The delegation was comprised of 11 participants who traveled from Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Saudia Arabia, and Yemen to examine nonprofit management strategies and learn about the dynamic relationships among business, government, and non-government organizations in the United States.
CASA Executive Director Angela Rose gave a presentation and fielded questions from the group before giving a tour of the CASA facility.
“It was such an amazing experience to share what we are doing in our corner of the world to help children and families, and then learn what these amazing nonprofit leaders are doing in their corners of the world to help children and families,” she said. “We were able to learn from each other and we will all be better at what we do as a result. It was an incredible opportunity and I was honored to be a part of it.”
