Teen Events & The Hanger
The Hanger's Holi-Ween Party is November 14th!
Teens 12-18 are welcome to join us for dinner, games, prizes, snacks, crafts, and more on Friday, November 14th, from 5:30-7:30 at Broadmoor Community Church, 315 Lake Ave. RSVP to mfcf@casappr.org by Tuesday, November 11th, for this year’s big bash!
Youth eligible for Teen Events must have an open D&N case through El Paso or Teller County, or have an open D&N case elsewhere but are placed in El Paso or Teller County. For ages 12-18 in any placement. Having a CASA Advocate is not required.
Free Haircuts for Youth in Foster Care with TONI&GUY
Our next free haircut/style event will be on Sunday, October 26th, from 12-4PM at The Style Emporium, 5041 N Academy Blvd, COS, 80918

- Guys and girls who just want a trim can sign up under the Basic Cut slots (30 minutes).
- Girls with more complicated cuts/styles or anyone who needs a longer timeframe (like braids being retouched) should book a Long/Style slot, which is 60 minutes.
- Since this is an actual salon, expanded services are available.
- When you sign up, please put in the comment box what service you would like (ex. layers, braid retouch, trim, etc.), if you prefer a male/female stylist, or if you need Spanish-speaking.

The Hanger needs Teen Workers!
If your teen is interested in working at The Hanger, have them stop by on Saturdays from 12-3 to fill out an application and have a quick interview. Youth workers receive a $20 gift card per shift.

CASA's MFCF Program
- The Hanger - A free clothing and accessories boutique for youth ages 12-20 who have an open D&N case through, live in, or emancipated from El Paso or Teller Counties. The Hanger is located at 418 S Weber St, with its own entrance in the back of the CASA building, and is open Saturdays 12-3PM. Having a CASA is not required.
- Milton Foster Children's Fund (MFCF) - MFCF funding helps youth in foster care where there are gaps in available funds. Youth must be 0-17 with an open D&N case through El Paso or Teller Counties. Having a CASA is not required.

Teen Workers Needed for The Hanger
If you have a teen in foster care who is interested in working at The Hanger, please pick up an application next time they are in to shop! Teens can work on Saturdays from 12 to 3 PM and will receive a $20 gift card for their time. Please note, teens MUST have transportation to and from The Hanger for their shift.
Need Furniture or Household Items for Independent Living?
Please email mfcf@casappr.org what you will need and when. We work with multiple agencies who have furniture, household items, and more to donate to youth who are or have been in the foster care system and need help furnishing their apartment.
Drivers Education
DHS is currently funding Drivers Ed for youth in foster care. Please contact your foster teen's caseworker to request funding.
Senior Pictures
Free senior pictures are available for teens in foster care who would like photos to commemorate their senior year/receiving their GED. Please contact mfcf@casappr.org to set up your session today.
CASA of the Pikes Peak Region offers many opportunities for teens in foster care through The Hanger, Teen Events, and Milton Foster Children's Fund.
The Hanger is located in the CASA office at 418 S Weber St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Please enter by going to behind the building and ringing the buzzer at The Hanger door. The store is open 12-3pm on Saturdays and is closed on major holiday weekends.
The Hanger and Teen Events are for teens ages 12-18 an open D&N case through El Paso or Teller Counties OR has an open D&N case elsewhere but are placed in El Paso or Teller County.
Young adults who emancipated from the foster care system can shop at The Hanger until their 21st birthday.
