An Extraordinary Woman (and Community) Among Us!

A HUGE congrats to our very own Jane Hegstrom (founder of The Hanger), on being named Clara MediSpa’s “Extraordinary Woman of the Year” in Colorado Springs!

Kristen Nunez, on staff here at CASA, took initiative and nominated Jane on her own time. She wrote,

There are a number of volunteers who support The Hanger, but Jane is always working to ensure its continued operations. From picking up and sorting through the thousands of donations received each year, to changing out the inventory each season and working on any given Saturday when the store is open, Jane is the ‘face’ and constant presence for this important community resource, unduplicated in this area. Through her work there, she provides a warm, safe, and non-judgmental presence to the many foster youth she interacts with on a regular basis.

In addition to recognizing Jane, Clara MediSpa and Vanguard have jumped on board with us in donating financially and with a future clothing drive for the Hanger. But they haven’t stopped there! They also plan to host our teen event in September, providing an evening of education, food, and gift bags.
