Volunteer Support Group: More than Chat, Less Than Therapy
Volunteer Support Group: September 3rd, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
CASA volunteers who have completed training and have been sworn in by the court are welcome to attend our monthly support group. Support and affirmation are essential for all who volunteer in this intense climate, and knowing that others have similar experiences can be reassuring. Ideas are shared, new perspectives surface and there are plenty of laughs. The group is facilitated by Case Supervisor Lois Gracz and is structured for an easy give and take. Please join us to receive support, offer support, and cheer each other on.
“I think that a support group offers insights from people who experience the same things we all experience in our work,” said Lois. “When we hear other’s insights we become aware that there are other ways to think about things. We come away with new ideas, refreshed commitment, and a clearer sense of expectations.”
The support group is always held at CASA. The next meeting will take place on September 3rd, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Please RSVP to Kelly at 719-447-9898, ext. 1033
Note: To ensure confidentiality, the group is only open to volunteers who have been sworn in.
