Two major business partners support CASA in 2021

December 18, 2020 (Colorado Springs, Colo) — Two major business partners are on board to support CASA of the Pikes Peak Region throughout 2021: Colorado Springs Home Builder and Developer, Covington Homes and four Colorado Springs Supercuts locations.

The collaboration between CASA and its business partners helps ensure that the nonprofit continues to fulfill its mission of serving child abuse and neglect victims in the Pikes Peak Region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Covington Homes, became a major business partner in 2019 and is continuing its generous support.

“As our community continues to grow, the need to take care of that community will also grow. The people who have the ability to help should help,” said Covington Homes Co-Principal Ron Covington.

Heather Heinbaugh is the owner of the Supercuts salons that are partnering with CASA. The partner locations are in Market Center at 4484 Austin Bluffs Pkwy., in Stetson Hills at 6046 Stetson Hills Blvd., in Constitution South at 5861 Constitution Ave., and at Falcon Landing at 7747 Academy Blvd.

“We have been impacted significantly (by the pandemic),” said Heinbaugh “But when I talked to CASA ED Angela Rose, she told me that CASA cases have doubled. It is something we all need to step in and do something about.”

It costs approximately $1,500 to serve one child with a volunteer advocate for one year. The need has increased drastically in 2020 and it will continue to increase as the population in El Paso and Teller Counties continues to grow. Part of CASA’s strategy for meeting this need is its Business Partnership Program.
