CASA volunteer Sandy Bridgewater was honored with the 2013 Teller County Cares Children/Youth Award for her work with CASA and her outstanding dedication to the safety and well-being of children in Teller County.

The awards, sponsored by Teller County Build a Generation, highlight individual generosity and selflessness.

Sandy volunteers with CASA as a Supervised Exchange and Parenting Time Facilitator as well as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

“Sandy’s commitment to the children is admirable,” said Angela Komar, CASA case supervisor and volunteer coordinator for Teller County. “She has leaped in whole-heartedly in a variety of areas which meet many needs of our community and her passion has touched the lives of numerous children of Teller.”

Along with CASA, Sandy volunteers her time with the Ute Pass Kiwanis Club and Children’s Literacy Center.

Our congratulations and gratitude to Sandy and all those honored for lifting the lives of children and families in Teller County.
